Danny L. Pruett – Bedford
Danny L. Pruett, 69, of Bedford, passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born August 29, 1942 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Edward “Lee” and Eva “Joy” Goodman Pruett. He married Carolyn Hicks on August 4, 1963 and she survives. He was a die setter at Central Foundry and a member of the Clearview Baptist Church. He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed woodworking and reading history. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn, of Bedford; two daughters, Vicky Fields and husband Michael, of Paoli and Dian Livingston and husband Terry, of Paoli; grandchildren, Chad Fields, Morgan Hunsaker, Hannah Fields, Christopher Pruett and Brennan Hunsaker; two brothers, Laddie Pruett, of Utah and Phillip Pruett, of Bedford; three sisters, Beth Love, Becky Ratlliff, Lisa Black and Laura, all of Bedford; several nieces and nephews, cousins and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Jimmy and Daniel Pruett; a sister Bonnie Moffitt and a brother Mark Pruett.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, August 17th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Kenny Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery with military rites accorded at the graveside. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
