Kenneth W. Miles – Bedford
Kenneth W. Miles, 83, of Bedford, passed away at 11:21 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25th at IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born June 19, 1929 in North Vernon, he was the son of Alva Ford and Dora M. (Hicks) Miles. He married Mary B. (Suzy) Snow on October 15, 1966 and she preceded him in death on September 3, 2006. He retired from Indiana Insurance Company in Indianapolis in 1990 and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, American Legion Gillen Post 33, B.P.O.E. 826 in Bedford, Ball State University Alumni Association and director and past president of the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Jacquie Rosen and husband, Mike; two great grandsons and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a step-daughter, Marihelen Edwards; a sister, A. Pauline James and a son-in-law, Jack Edwards.
Graveside service will be at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, September 19th in Green Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Norma C. Ritchison – Mitchell
Norma C. Ritchison, 89, of Mitchell, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford.
Born May 14, 1923, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Willard and Rowena (Burton) Bridges. She married Roy R. Ritchison December 23, 1939, and he preceded her in death August 14, 2011.
Norma was a homemaker and had been employed at Naval Surface Warfare Center – Crane and K-Mart. She was a graduate of Huron High School and a member of the Huron Church of God. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and growing roses.
Survivors include her sons, Stanley Philip Ritchison and wife Sandy, of Bedford, Darrell “Joe” Ritchison and wife Kathy, of Bedford; daughter, Debra Lynn Mullins and husband Michael, of Spencer; grandchildren, Shelley Denise Allen, of Greensburg, Kimberly Diane Torres and husband Denice, of Clinton, New Jersey, Stanley Philip Ritchison II and wife Linda, of Brownsburg, Jeffrey Perry and wife Samantha, of Arizona, Dustin Perry, of Bedford, Josh Britt and wife Jessica, of Martinsville, Bryce Mann and wife Stacey, of Mitchell, Landon Lindley and wife Amy, of Fayetteville, Jodi Wright, of Bedford, Sherrie Renee Gorrell, of Kansas; several great grandchildren; half brother, Larry Gene Bridges, of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Julia Rose Gorrell; son, Roger Wayne Ritchison; sister, Lola Bowden; and brother, Earl Burton.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 28, at Port William Cemetery with Pastor Randall Corbin officiating. No visitation is scheduled.

Tiffany Ann Porter – Mitchell
Tiffany Ann Porter, 36, of Mitchell, passed away at 5:14 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at her home.
Born January 24, 1976, in Salem, she was the daughter of James and Donna (Kemple) Mattingly. She married Gary Duane “Tigger” Porter January 26, 1991 and he survives. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hillbilly 500.
Survivors include her husband, Gary “Tigger” Porter, of Mitchell; sons, Gary James Porter, of Orleans, Christopher Daeton, at home; mother and stepfather, Donna and Gary Bell, of Mitchell; siblings, Robin Duncan and husband Doug, of Mitchell, Elvis Mattingly and wife Jamie, of Mitchell, Nikki Andrews, of Mitchell, Brian Mattingly and wife Jari, of Mitchell, Deana Graves and husband Derek, of Orleans, Catina Lawyer and husband Jason, of Orleans, Stephanie Houchin, of Bedford, Tiffany Watterson and husband Danny, of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Mattingly; and grandparents, Ronnie and Mildred Kemple and Walter and Mary Mattingly.
Graveside service will be at 6 p.m. Friday, September 28, at Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
