Laura Sue Cassidy – Orleans
Laura Sue Cassidy, 73, of Orleans, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 4:35 p.m. at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born May 8, 1939 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Charles and Ruby (Mitchell) Myers.
She first married Mr. Kern, then to Oliver Gillum, who preceded her in death and then to Dennis Ray Cassidy in 1992 in Lawrence County and he survives. She was a homemaker. She had attended Fayetteville High School. She was a member of the CB Club.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Ray Cassidy, of Orleans; one daughter, Tracy Kern, of Indianapolis; one son, Terry Kern, of Scottsburg; two stepsons, Bryan Cassidy, of Orleans and Mike Cassidy, of Huron; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis White, of Heltonville; one brother, Don Myers, of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oliver; one son and one brother.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Fayetteville Community Church Cemetery, with burial following the service.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home.
