Tolbert – Bedford
Barbara Tolbert, 71, of Bedford, died at 9:05 am on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born November 2, 1940 in Noblesville, she was the daughter of Clarence and Thelma Louise Mance. She had worked at General Motors in Bedford and enjoyed cooking and fishing.
Survivors include three daughters, Leora Cain and husband, Charles, Sharon Brown and Regina Armstrong; a son, Robert Dale Owens, Jr. and wife, Lucinda; grandchildren, Destiny Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Doug Huffman, Tieann Cain, Jim Owens, Joseph Owens, Brandon Kidd, Rodney Kidd and Kevin Kidd; twelve great grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmy and Chrissy Mance. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Gerald Mance and a sister, Rosemary Mance.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Springville West Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service on Wednesday, October 31st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Devon Jeffery Holmes – Bedford
Devon Jeffery Holmes, 22, died Monday, October 29, 2012 in a traffic accident. Arrangements are pending at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Farrell Wayne “Buck” Charles – Bedford
Farrell Wayne “Buck” Charles, 86, of Bedford, died Monday, October 29, 2012, at his
home.
Born September 14, 1926 in Bedford, he was the son of Vollie and Ocie (Tucker)
Charles. He married Wilma L. Chasteen on June 9, 1972, and she survives. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Nehenta Bay in WWII. He loved to watch Western movies, and loved to read. He also loved working in his garage. He retired from Crane. He worked for the Lawrence County Highway Dept. at the Needmore trash complex for ten years. He also worked at Fourwinds Resort as a security guard for ten years.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma L. Charles, of Bedford; three sons, Vance Charles and
wife, Holly; Farrell “Bucky” Charles and wife, Linda; and Steve Kinser and wife, Carol, all of Bedford; two daughters, Debby Rollins and husband, Greg, of Bedford; and Phyllis Flynn of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren, Kayla Rollins, Robbie Davis (Julie), James Davis (Mandy), Amanda Goodman (Nick), Adam Kinser, Rachel Hillenburg, Bucky Charles II, Savanna Charles, Taylor Charles, Cooper Charles, Allen Taylor, Charlie Barnes; and 7 great-grandchildren, Kane Charles, Bre’Onna Charles, Bekah Hillenburg, Kortni Allen, Austin Davis, Alexis Davis, and Abby Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Doris Magnus and Lorene Crowe;
one brother, Vollie Charles; and two grandchildren, Brett Kinser and Chris Taylor.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Pastor Farrell E. Charles officiating. Burial will be in Judah Cemetery, with military graveside rites accorded by the American Legion Gillen Post #33. Friends may call on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
