The following obituaries were received for Tuesday –


Mary Jewell Waldon – Brownsburg
Mary Jewell Waldon, 82, of Brownsburg, formerly of Bedford, died at 2:40 pm on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center – Eagle Creek in Marion Co., Indiana.
Born December 21, 1929 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Laban and Vannie (Colvin) Roberts. She worked at M. Fine & Sons.
Survivors include a son, Jerry England of Brownsburg; three half-brothers, Johnny Roberts, Roy Roberts and Bobby Roberts all of Arizona; a half-sister, Mabel Day of Bedford; two grandchildren, Carrie England of Speedway, IN and Jeremy England of Brownsburg; four great grandchildren, Avery, Maxwell and Amelia England, Amaya Vaughn; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mae Stailey and a brother, Kenneth Roberts.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3p.m. on Wednesday, November 28th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Johnny Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday, November 28th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Mary Inez Speer – Norman
Mary Inez Speer, 89, of Norman, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 1:35 a.m. at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.
Arrangements are pending at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home.
Oweetah Prince – Bedford
Oweetah Prince, 85, of Bedford, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born October 28, 1927 she was the daughter of Rev. Morton Thomas and Gertrude (Hillenburg) Thomas, of Heltonville. She married James W. Prince in 1943. They had three children, Caroline “Carolyn” James Ronald “Ronnie” and Cindy Jo.
Oweetah and James divorced in 1967. No other children were born to either parent in their lifetime. James passed away January 19, 2009. She was a homemaker and was employed at RCA for 10 years and worked as a nurse’s assistant at Bedford Hospital and Bloomington Hospitality House. She and James were members of the Bloomington Aces Motorcycle Club in the 1950s. Oweetah enjoyed writing poetry, embroidery and was a lover of all animals.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Prince and Cindy Jo Prince Stewart, both of Bedford; four grandchildren, Richard J. Thornton II, of Louisville, Melissa J. Barrick, of Indianapolis, Tom Stewart and James Stewart, both of Bloomington, ten great grandchildren, Justin, Hailey, Ashley, Marissa, Thomas James and Jaela Stewart, of Bloomington, Madison, Jurwicz and Jenna Hill, of Indianapolis, Jamie and Jessica Thorton, of Louisville; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas, son James Ronald “Ronnie” Prince; brother Virgil Thomas, Sister Naomi “Ruth” Pelston, twin sister Juanita Hillenburg and grandson David K. Barrick Jr.
Friends may call on Tuesday, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Heltonville. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Chapel Hill Church with Rev. Greg Eads officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
