Rachel Lynn Moffitt – Shoals
Rachel Lynn Moffitt, 31, of Shoals, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 in Owen County. She was born May 28, 1981 in Bedford to Gary L. and Jamie (Oliver) Boyd.
She was a homemaker and a graduate of Shoals High School Class of 1999.
She is survived by her father, Gary L. Boyd, of Shoals; the father of her children, William James Moffitt, of Shoals; sons Eli and Ethyn Moffitt, of Shoals; sister Cayla Boyd, of Shoals; grandmother, Ruth Inis Boyd, of Loogootee.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jamie, on March 7, 1999, her paternal grandfather John W. “Jack” Boyd and maternal grandparents, Charles A. and Carrie Oliver.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 1 p.m. at Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery.

Earlina Rose (May) Turner – Freelandville
Earlina Rose (May) Turner, 54, of Freelandville, passed away at 9:42 am on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born April 17, 1958 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Cledius and Elizabeth (Underwood) May. She married William A. Turner on March 18, 1978 and he survives. She was a homemaker and of the Apostolic faith.
Survivors include her husband, William, of Freelandville; two sons, Billy Turner and wife, Carrie of Edwardsport, IN, John Turner and wife, Valerie of Bedford; two daughters, Emma Turner of Scottsburg, IN and Holly Bell and husband, Dorven of Bedford; eight grandchildren, Samantha Turner, Brittany and Brandi Hall, Nicole Turner, Miranda Turner, Alyssa Turner, Nathalie Turner and Roy Bell; two great grandchildren, Emilee and Garrett Turner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Juanita Quillen and a brother, Jerry May, Sr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Thursday, January 10th at the Apostolic Faith Assembly in Bedford with Pastor Jeffrey Vanlue officiating. Burial will follow in the Springville Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service on Thursday at the church.

Philis Burton Sears – Mitchell
Philis Burton Sears, 77, passed away at 5:37 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born April 11, 1935, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Coen Edward and Gertrude E. (Morris) Walton. She married Morris Burton November 7, 1964, and he preceded her in death March 12, 1976. Her second marriage was to Paul F. Sears on September 1, 1978.
She was an Avon Representative for more than 20 years and loved watching her beloved Hoosiers. Philis graduated from Mitchell High School in 1953, and was a member of the Mitchell Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Paul F. Sears, Mitchell; children, Trudie Dillman and husband Tim, of Mitchell; John Burton, of Meridian Mississippi, Susan Marlman and husband Steve, of Salem, stepchildren, Matina Hobson, of Mitchell; Paul Anthony Sears, of Bedford, James Michael Sears, of New Albany; brother, Morris Walton and wife Nancy, of Paoli; 5 grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband.
Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, January 10, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Bro. Allen Burris officiating. A private family burial will be on Friday in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Sharon Yvonne Robbins – Lawrenceville, IL.
Sharon Yvonne Robbins, 82, of Lawrenceville, IL, formerly of Mitchell, passed away at 10:20 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013, in Bridgeport, IL.
Born May 19, 1930, in Needmore, she was the daughter of Paul V. Lewis and Edith P. (Goodman) Lewis Scott. She married Alva Harold Robbins on July 4, 1948; he died October 19, 1996.
She was a graduate of Shawswick High School, class of 1948; was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Murphy and husband John and Tamara Robbins, both of Lawrenceville, IL; two sons, David Ray Robbins and wife Wendibeth, of Lawrenceville, IL and Michael P. Robbins and wife Edie, of Mitchell; one daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Robbins, Gayscreek, KY; 10 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; three brothers, David Scott, Provo, UT, Thomas Scott, Veedersburg, IN and Howard Scott, Bedford; one sister, Sandra Flake, Franklin, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 1 daughter, Crystal P. Robbins, in infancy; one son, Harold A. Robbins and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joel (Lee) Henderson – Williams
Joel (Lee) Henderson, 67, of Williams, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at his home.
Born December 14, 1945 in Bedford, he was the son of William J. and Mabel L. (Kern)
Henderson. He had been a city employee and musician.
Survivors include two daughters, Bridget Adams and Jodi Henderson; two sons, Kevin
and Joshua Henderson; a brother, Tom Henderson; a sister, Joyce Burns and husband, Bill.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 6 pm on Thursday, January 10th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Graveside services will be conducted at a later date.
