Larry L. Torrance – Mitchell
Larry L. Torrance, 75, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at his residence.
Cremation was chosen and a graveside service will be announced at a later date by Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
Charlotte Ritchey – Bedford
Charlotte Ritchey, 93, of Bedford, passed away at 11:30 pm on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at her residence.
Born September 3, 1919 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Walter J. and Lilly May Bailey. She married William Ritchey in 1970 and he preceded her in death in 2007. She was the owner of Bailey’s Electrical in Bedford for many years.
Survivors include her nephews, Ned Raub, Paul David Ritchey, Claude Ritchey, Gordon Ritchey, Mark Ritchey, Rusty Spaulding, Randy Spaulding and Robin Spaulding; her nieces, Barbara Moore, Judy Cantrell, Tonya Macik, and Rita Berkwitt; sisters-in-law, Christine Ritchey, of Bedford and Margaret Spaulding, of Ohio; several great nieces and nephews; her wonderful caregivers, Bea Stevens, her two nieces, Madonna Gay Martin and Julie Murphy and Marilyn Hall, Shana Davis, Misty Moore and Katie Wright.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, William H. and Harlan Bailey; a sister, Dorothy Raub; two nephews, Rudy Spaulding and Joe Raub; a niece, Betty Sipes; brothers-in-law, Paul E. and Robert Ritchey and Eugene Spaulding.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm on Tuesday, January 15th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Doug Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 pm until the hour of service on Tuesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
