Inez G. (Louden) Stroud – Shoals
Inez G. (Louden) Stroud, 97, of Shoals, died at 9:10 am on Friday, April 5, 2013 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.
Born October 10, 1915, she was the daughter of Coy and Mary Esta (Fish) Louden. She married Walter Stroud on March 29, 1930 and he preceded her in death on December 25, 2007.
Survivors include three sons, Russell Stroud and wife, Nancy of Shoals, Rex Stroud and wife, Janet of Bedford, William Stroud and wife, Linda of Whiteland; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Sroud
of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter; a son, Dean Stroud and a daughter Doris Zumhingst; one grandson; one great grandson and two great great granddaughters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday, April 9th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Randall Corbin officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Monday, April 8th at the Day &
Carter Mortuary.

Peggy Anne Smith – Mitchell
Peggy Anne Smith, 88, passed away at 8:57 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born March 18, 1925, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Mailen and Hazel (Bandy) Roberts. She married Hugh Lee Smith June 5, 1942, and he preceded her in death December 3, 1954. Peggy retired as a maid Spring Mill Inn and was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ.
Survivors include her daughters, Carole Lee Smith, Bedford, Diana Sue and husband Garry L. McKinney, Mitchell; 5 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother, James Walter Roberts
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Donna Kay Duncan; grandson, Kevin Pemberton; and brothers, George Bishop, William Earl Bishop, Minor Edward Bishop, Mailen Roberts, Jr., and Misch Casper Roberts.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, at the First Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ with Rev. Robert Burton officiating. Burial will be in Talbott Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. on Monday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center and from 10 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the church.
