Jerry A. Bowden – Mitchell
Jerry A. Bowden, 67, of Mitchell passed away at 8:46 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born August 7, 1945, in Mitchell, he was the son of Bernard N. and Blanche E. (Batchelor) Bowden. He married Sharon Kay Asbury December 4, 1965.
Jerry had been employed at United Technologies and Dana Corporation. He was a member of the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon K. Bowden, Mitchell; son, Kevin Scott Bowden, Bedford; brother, Lester Wayne Bowden, Loogootee; sisters, Shirley Ann Gross, Martinsville, Karen R. Miller, Phoenix, Arizona; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his is parents, and son, Jerry Craig Bowden on March 28, 1999.
Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Monday, April 15, at the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Matt Moore officiating. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the service on Monday at the church.
