Beatrice May Stevens – Bedford
Beatrice May Stevens, 68, of Bedford, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at 4:35 am on Friday, June 21, 2013.
Born February 19, 1945 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Ray William and Myrtle Mae (Blythe) Moore. She married Rev. Gary Stevens on January 6, 1964 and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2009. She had worked at the Hub Restaurant in Bedford for over fifteen years and also cleaned homes. She was a member of the New Hope Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Jamie Bechtel and husband, Jim, of Mitchell; two sons, Jim Stevens and wife, Neena, of Petersburg, IN, Brent Stevens and wife, Anne Marie, of Bedford; Travis Bauer and Tabitha (Justin) Berger (who were raised in the Stevens home); eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three brothers, Chester (Tamera) Moore of Bedford, Wayne Cain of Marseilles, IL and Wilmer Cain of TX; in-laws, Sharon (Carl) Lyons, Joe (Brenda) Stevens, Jerry (Ana) Stevens, Linda (Tom) Jenkins; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Debra Landstrom; a granddaughter, Stephanie Bauer; two sisters, Violet Grace (in infancy) and Alberta Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Tuesday, June 25th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Dallas Lakes, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Judah Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 pm to 8 pm on Monday, June 24 and on Tuesday, June 25 from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at Day & Carter Mortuary..

Wilma Pearl Connell – Mitchell
Wilma Pearl Connell, 86, passed away at 10:50 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born May 25, 1927, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Warren J. and Pearl (Helm) Wright. She was formerly married to Robert C. Connell and he preceded her in death. She was cafeteria manager at Burris School for 32 years. Wilma was a member of Jacob Finger United Methodist Church and served as organist for 50 years; she was also a member of United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her children, Robert L. (Phyllis) Connell, Mitchell, Marilyn (Mike) Gifford, Bedford, JoAnne Connell Roberts, Mitchell, Susie E. Wilson, Mitchell,Steve C. (Nancy) Connell, Canton, Michigan; grandchildren, Kathi Root, Tammy Roberts Scarfone, Hollie Wilson, Marci Staley, and Jason Connell; great grandchildren, Kyle Root, Cody Root, Michael Staley, Marcus Staley, Andino Scarfone, Grason Connell, Gannon McDonald, Gage McDonald.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Dorothy King, Hollace Wright, Joseph Wright, and Charles Wright.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, at Mitchell Cemetery with Rev. Dwight Dunbar officiating. There will be no visitation.
