Robert L. Charles
Robert L. “Bob” Charles, 75, of Bedford, died at 2:25 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Garden Villa.
Born November 27, 1937 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Ernest Emery and Marguerite (Link) Charles. He married Harriet Brown on March 19, 1965 and she survives. He was a graduate of the Bedford High School and a retired sheet metal worker. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Harriet, of Bedford; a son, Robert Scott (Arlie) Charles of Bedford; three daughters, Andrea (Dan) Roberts of Houston, OH, Teresa Boruff and Tracey (Marc) Foddrill all of Bedford; four grandsons, Lance Adams and friend, Kayti Burks, William “Willie” Boruff; Andrew Roberts, Nevin Foddrill, three granddaughters, Amanda (Danny) Perry, Hannah Roberts and fiancé, Channon Martin and Tosha Charles; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, Eric and Trisha East; one brother, Jack (Ruthie) Charles of Bedford; two sisters, Gloria Arthur and Wanda (Ronnie) Weilbaker all of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Calvert Lee Duncan and a sister, Betty Spires.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 1 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Lewis Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Talbott Cemetery. Anna Mary Baker
Anna Mary Baker, 92, of Norman, Indiana, passed away at 3:15 am, on June 28, 2013 at the home of her son and daughter in-law, Johnny W. and Marie Baker.
She graduated from Medora High School with the Class of 1939 and was a homemaker and faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene in Brownstown. She loved flowers, birds and crossword puzzles and playing games with her family. Her son David Baker and his wife Carolyn were very devoted in caring for her at Johhny and Marie’s home over the last two years.
Born June 24, 1921 in Jackson County near Leesville, IN, she was a daughter of the late Ezra and Mabel (Flinn) Henderson. She married Johnny Roy Baker on February 3, 1940 in Bedford, Indiana and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2010.
Survivors include: one daughter, Judith Ann Baker Green (Morris) Hanner; two sons, Johnny Wade (Marie) Baker and David Lee (Carolyn) Baker; two sisters, Inez Morrison and Faye Verble; 10 granchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one step great-great-grandson, and one great-great-granddaughter
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Gladys Henderson and two brothers, Doyle and Stanley Henderson, one son in-law, Clifford W. Green, and one great-granddaughter, Madeleine Marie Fischer.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 10 a.m. from the Brownstown Church of the Nazarene. Friends may call that morning after 9 a.m. or on Monday, July 1, 2013 also at the church, from 4-8 p.m. Floyd Fisher will officiate the funeral service with burial to follow at the Leesville Cemetery.

Jeanette Leatherman
Jeanette E. Leatherman, 86, passed away at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born September 15, 1926, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Noble Oscar and Nellie Marie (Yaney) Fullen. She married James Leroy Leatherman December 22, 1942, and he preceded her in death April 25, 2010.
Jeanette was a homemaker.
Surviving: a son, Michael L. (Suzie) Leatherman, Mitchell; a granddaughter, Deanna Leatherman, and great-grandchildren, Kenny Leatherman and Lexie Moore.
Her parents; husband; and brother, Harold Fullen, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at noon on Monday, July 1, at Lawrenceport Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.

Betty J. Deckard
Betty J. Deckard, 84, of Washington, Ind., died at 6:42 pm on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Daviess Community Hospital.
Born Feb. 26, 1929, in Casey Co., Kentucky, she was the daughter of William Finch and Addie (Wiltcher) Brown. She was retired from Ohio Valley Medical in Princeton, IN. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the V.F.W. Post No. 604 Auxiliary and the Eagles Lodge in Bloomington.
Survivors include two sons, H. Preston Ross and L. Phillip Roberts both of Shoals, IN; a daughter, Vicki Reynolds of Palmyra, Ind; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Archie and Bobbie Brown and two in infancy.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. No calling hours are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Thelma Myree Robertson DaVee died Friday in Mooresville. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday in the church at Mount Gilead, 6019 E. State Road 144, Mooresville, with the funeral service beginning there at 8 p.m.
