Raymond Dale Hopper – Orleans
Raymond Dale Hopper, 78, of Orleans, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Paoli Health and Living Community.
Born April 8, 1935, in Orange County, he was the son of James Homer and Martha Ellen (Pridemore) Hopper. He married Brenda Jean Brace. Raymond retired from Westinghouse and was employed several years at the Orleans Filtration Plant.
In early life he attended the Salvation Army and was baptized in the Orleans Baptist Church. He was a member of the Mitchell–Orleans Exchange Club.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hopper, Orleans; children, Patsy Grissom, Mitchell, Ronnie Hopper, Mitchell, Rhonda Knight, Mitchell; 9 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; brothers, Fred Hopper, Mitchell, Wendell Hopper, Mitchell
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepdaughter, Pamela Sue Johnson; brother, James Hopper; sister, LaDonna Hopper; and a great great granddaughter.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 25, in Mitchell Cemetery with Pastor Matt Moore officiating.
