Dallas Kenneth Johnson, 79, of Bedford, passed away on Monday August 12, 2013 at 1:33 a.m. at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
He was born October 14, 1933 in Corbin, Kentucky to Ulus & Chattie (Monhollen) Johnson. He married Jacqueline (Hendricks) Heyneman on November 3, 1951 in Angola, Indiana. Dallas was a retired truck driver with the Teamsters Local #414 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana; he was a member of the Woodville Baptist Church in Mitchell and Bedford Eagles Lodge #654
Survivors include 10 children; Connie and husband James Pond of Columbia City, Indiana, Elaine and husband Noble Ball of Heltonville, Dallas M. Johnson and wife Stephanie of Bedford, Marvin Johnson and wife Karen of Thornton, Colorado, Rick Johnson and wife Ida of Grantsville, Utah, Rose and husband Kenny Alcorn of Heltonville, Lina and husband J. Johnson of Bedford, Lisa and husband Carl Harz of Ft. Wayne, Vicki and husband Troy Croft of Ft. Wayne, Greg Johnson and wife Judy of Bedford, his former wife and companion Jacqueline Heyneman of Bedford; 30 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson, one sister; Ida and husband John Widman of Ft. Wayne, two brothers; Richard Johnson and wife Carol of Ft. Wayne, Ray Johnson and wife Linda of Churibusco, Indiana
Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Alma Napier and Nancy Johnson, one grandson, Nicolas E.C. Johnson, his former wife Barbara Johnson.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday August 15, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Hamer officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday August 14 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens
