Fern C. Winegar – Bedford
Fern Cosetta Winegar, 92, a long-time resident of Bedford died at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Mitchell Manor in Mitchell.
Born February 26, 1921 in Lawrence County to Lela Flynn. Fern was nicknamed “Code” by family and friends. Fern loved to garden and was an avid photographer and won several awards with family photos and crocheted blankets for all her children and grandchildren. Fren retired from RCA and was member of Guide Point Church.
Fern was preceded in death by her son, Michael Winegar and survived by two daughters, Yvonne Foster, of Bedford and Burnettia Mulligan, of Dayton, OH.; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren.
Her family wishes to express their deep gratitude and appreciation to the Mitchell Manor staff and Southern Care Hospice for their kindness and care.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 17 beginning at 1 p.m. in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Brother Chris Perrry from Guide Point Church officiating. Burial will follow at Pinhook Cemetery.
