Stacy R. Pruitt – Bedford
Stacy R. Pruitt, 42, of Bedford, died at 8:40 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2013, in Bedford.
Born June 3, 1971, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Billy D. “Sullivan and Rita L. (Hardwick) Sullivan. She married Robert E. Pruitt on December 17, 1990, and he survives. She was a LPN employed by ResCare Group Homes, working in Bedford and Spencer. She attended the Salvation Army Church, Bedford and was a member of Lawrence Co. ABATE.
Surviving are her husband, Robert E. Pruitt , Bedford; one daughter, Brittany R. Walker and husband James, Henryville; one son, Logan Robert Pruitt, Bedford; one granddaughter, Jaicee Walker, Henryville; three sisters, Victoria Zoelzer, Mitchell, Valarie Martin and husband Denny, Bedford and Ashley Baker, Mitchell; three brothers, Billy Sullivan and wife Melanie, Petersburg; Bobby Sullivan and wife Adrienne, French Lick and Tristan Sullivan, Ellettsville; and 16 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, with Capt. Donna Rose officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Bedford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Russell E. Edwards – Shoals
Russell E. Edwards, 88, of Shoals, went to be with the Lord and Savior on August 17, 2013 at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper. Russell was born in Daviess County on April 22, 1925 to William H. and Esther (Harker) Edwards.
He married the love of his life, Normi R. (Davis) Edwards on June 19, 1952. They were blessed with one daughter, Sara and her husband, Michael Caylor of Collierville, Tennessee; a son Dr. Mark and his wife, Jane Edwards of Zionsville, Indiana; four grandchildren, Lauren C. Caylor, Andrew J. Edwards and wife Elly, Lindsey L and her husband Stephen Livesay and Abigail L. Edwards. He is also survived by one sister, Lenora and Donald Stultz, of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Douglas J. Edwards in 1979 , and three brothers, Friedman, Robert, and Leland Edwards.
Russell graduated with the Alfordsville Class of 1943. Early in his career, he traveled for Wyatt Seed Company of Petersburg. He later represented Carolina Shoe Company of Morganton, NC., traveling three states.
He was a faithful member of the West Shoals Church of Christ and was the song leader until his illness. He was a member of a vocal quartet and sang at many funerals and weddings. He also taught a’capella singing throughout congregations in southern Indiana.
Other special interests were antique cars and tractors, especially Hudson and Essex models. He was also an avid reader of history.
Friends and family may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Trinity Springs Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to the Freed-Hardeman University, Tennessee in care of the Douglas J. Edwards memorial scholarship fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
