Lloyd Vernon Johnson – Williams
Lloyd Vernon Johnson, 76, passed away at 8:48 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born August 3, 1937, in Orange County, he was the son of Claude and Zora (White) Johnson Fields. He married Barbara Carolyn Chapman June 30, 1956, and she preceded him in death May 16, 2013. He was employed with Indiana Sandstone and retired from Sigma Steel with 43 years of total service.
Survivors include his children, Sheryl and husband Jan McBride, Bedford , Karon Johnson and wife Karen, Bedford; grandchildren, Michael Edwards, Matthew Edwards, Doug Johnson, and Nick Johnson; two step granddaughters; 4 step great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Alan L. Johnson; daughter, Janice Marie Edwards; and siblings, Cecil Johnson, Earl Johnson, and Lorene Johnson.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, at Port William Cemetery with Karen Johnson officiating. There will be no visitation hours at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
Casketbearers: Faron Johnson, Doug Johnson, Nick Johnson, Michael Edwards, Matthew Edwards, and Jan McBride.
