Marjorie H. Cupps – Bedford
Marjorie H. Cupps, 94, of Bedford, formerly of Broadview Dr., died at 1:47 pm on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford.
Born August 1, 1919 in Greene Co., she was the daughter of Noah G. and Julia C. (Frazier) Hall. She married Robert O. Cupps on December 25, 1940 and he preceded her in death on July 8, 1992. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church where she had served as a Deaconess. She was a yellow jacket volunteer at the Bedford Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons, Robert O. Cupps, II and wife, Gina, of Ft. Pierce, FL and David G. Cupps and wife, Cynthia, of Bedford; four grandchildren, Robert Cupps of Winchester, VA, Jeff Cupps and Kevin Cupps both of Bedford and Cathy Snelson of Charlotte, NC; six great grandchildren, Bennett, Owen and Olivia Cupps of Winchester, VA, Ellen and Emily Snelson both of Charlotte, NC and Meghan Cupps of Decorah, IA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Eugene and Opal Hall; one sister, Venoa Jackson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Friday, November 8th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, November 7th and from noon until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
