Hazel Dalton Mahan – Bedford
Hazel Dalton Mahan, 88, of Bedford, died at 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation, Bedford.
Born December 6, 1924 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of George and Emma (Deckard) Sipes.
She married Louis Dalton on February 2, 1946; he died July 29, 2000; she married Virgil Mahan on June 20, 1972; he died May 22, 2000.
She had worked at RCA, Bloomington, IN and was a homemaker. She was a member of Hilltop Pentecostal Church, Avoca.
Surviving are two daughters, Mona Gayle Tallent, Bedford and Linda (Garry) Fisher, Campbellsburg; two sons, Larry (Karen) Dalton and Leonard Dalton, both of Bedford; two step-daughters, Sonya Kirk and Nancy Cauffman, both of Michigan; 24 grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Martha Sipes, Heltonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers; one son, William Joseph Southern; and both husbands.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2013, at Hilltop Pentecostal Church, Avoca, with Pastor Bill Johnson and Bro. Kevin Maberry officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford.

Wilma Irene Ragsdale Fields – Mitchell
Wilma Irene Ragsdale Fields, 91, of Mitchell, passed away at 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Johnson Christian Village in Bedford.
Born July 17, 1922, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of David L. and Millie Odessa “Dessie” (Kindred) Ray. She married Mansil Ragsdale in 1938 and he preceded her in death January 28, 1981. Her second marriage was to Howard Fields on June 1, 1988.
Wilma had been employed at Reliance Manufacturing, Sarkes-Tarzian, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Fields, Bedford; daughters, Charleen Vestal, Orleans, Connie (Terry) Myers, Springville; stepchildren, Kenny Fields, Indianapolis, Mary Stella Russell, Florida, George (Vanessa) Fields, Jeffersonville, Suzanna Stepp, Florida, Joe (Debbie) Fields, Greenwood, Bruce Fields, Florida, Dean Fields, Florida; 33 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren; 25 great great grandchildren.
Her parents; first husband; daughters, Brenda Fisher and Joyce Williams; son, Gilbert Dean “Gibby” Ragsdale; and siblings, Violet E. Reynolds, Katherine McPherson, Thelma Hayes Ingram, Lena Pearl Chastain, Dorothy Todd, Treva Hart, David H. Ray, and John J. Ray, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 22, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Rev. Reggie Clark officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Patricia A. Hoff – Bedford
Patricia A. Hoff, 72, of Bedford, died at 10 pm on Monday, November 18, 2013 at her residence.
Born September 28, 1941 in Monroe Co., she was the daughter of Clyde and Lera (Helms) Flynn. She married Larry Hoff in 1960 and he preceded her in death on May 19, 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include three sons, Tim Barrett and wife, Susie of Greene Co., Garry Hoff and wife, Camille of Seymour and Terry Hoff and wife, Dana of Bedford; five grandchildren, Joshua Richardson, Ashley Harper, Nathen, Danielle and Samuel Hoff; four great grandchildren, Lindsey and Isabella Richardson, Dylan and Devin Harper; two brothers, Gerald and Jack Flynn both of Bloomington; one sister, Donna Price of Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a daughter, Tamara Koontz.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Friday, November 22nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with John Overbey officiating. Committal service will be at 1 pm in Garrison Chapel Cemetery in Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, November 21st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
