Nancy Elaine Chastain, 79, of Mitchell, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Monday, December 2, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 6, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Burial will be inMitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
John E. Cox – Bedford
John E. Cox, 63, of Bedford, died at 7:38 am on Friday, November 29, 2013 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.
Born February 10, 1950 in Martin Co., he was the son of Berlin and Mary (Riggle) Cox. He married Deborah R. Gore on June 13, 1970 and she survives. He was a laborer, mechanic and a member of the Silverville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah, of Bedford; a daughter, Lelah Rainey and husband, David (Hot Dog) of Bedford; a son, Berlin James Cox and wife, Terika of Monroe City, IN; six grandchildren, Devon W., Dillon K. and Denise J. Cornett, Aaron James Walls, Darian J. and Logan B. Cox; one great granddaughter, Chesney Rae; three brothers, Ray Cox of West Baden, Joe Cox of Danville, IN and Paul Dean Cox of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Kenneth Pedigo; two brothers, David Lee and Darrel Gene Cox; a sister, Wanda June Cox Estes.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm on Wednesday, December 4th at Mt. Pleasant Church in Silverville with Pastor Rick Smale officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Silverville. Visitation will be held at the Mt. Pleasant Church in Silverville from 5 pm to 10 pm on Tuesday, December 3rd and Wednesday, December 4th from 9 am until the hour of the service.
