Eugene Deckard – Bedford
Eugene “Gene” Deckard, 68, of Bedford, was called home at 9:58 am on Friday, January 3, 2014 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born May 19, 1945 in Monroe Co., he was the son of Glenn (Pap) and Bernice (Kinser) Deckard. He married Linda Hilderbrand and she survives. He was a stone mason.
Survivors include his mother, Bernice; his wife, Linda of Bedford; a son, Michael Joe Deckard and wife, Nancy of Norman; a daughter, Becky Deckard Tumey and husband, Scott of Bedford; two grandchildren, Tiffany Deckard and Jeremy Tumey; two great grandchildren, Tyson McLaughlin and Alicia McCart; a brother, Larry Deckard and wife, Sandra of Bedford; a sister, Brenda England and husband, Roger of Bedford; several nieces and nephews; his grand-dogs, Buddy Joe, Sissy and Izzy and his cat, Hoppy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn “Pap” Deckard.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Wednesday, January 8th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jan Spaulding officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, January 7th and from Noon until the hour of service on Wednesday, January 8th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Estell Ray Brown – Ft. Ritner
Estell Ray Brown, 62, Ft. Ritner, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2013 at I.U. Health, Bedford.

Eva Elizabeth Stultz – Bedford
Eva Elizabeth Stultz, 89, of Bedford, died peacefully with her pastor, niece, Patty and the loving staff at Stonebridge and Hospice at her side at 11:40 am on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Stonebridge Health Campus.
Born January 5, 1924 in Oolitic, she was the daughter of John P. and Nettie (Hardwick) Morrow. She married Denton Celee Stultz on November 12, 1941 and he preceded her in death on February 13,1997. She held a degree in Theology from the Jerry Falwell School and a degree in accounting from Indiana University. She graduated from the Columbus Beauty College. She owned and operated Eva’s Beauty Shop for forty years and an avid I.U. basketball fan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she served in the choir.
Survivors include a sister, Emily Flynn Fields of Sun City, AZ; nieces and nephews, Patricia (Patty) Heffner and husband, Ray of Brazil, IN, Jay Morrow and wife, Ann of Grove City, OH, Kirby Morrow and wife, Melissa of NC, Kathy Stemm of Brazil, IN, Edwinna Glick and husband, Dan of Sun City, AZ, Denny Morrow and wife, Muggs of Zenia, OH and Dr. John Morrow and wife, Mary Jo of FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Gregory Celee Stultz; two sister, Clora and Violet; four brothers, Jay, Harrison, Starling and Carl; two nephews, Mark and Carl Von Morrow, one niece Sharon McConnaha.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 7th Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, January 7th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church or Alzheimer’s Assoc.

Tammy Lynn Clark – Bedford
Tammy Lynn Clark, 47, of Bedford, died at 10:40 pm on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at I.U. Health Hospice House following a four year battle with cancer.
Born December 21, 1966 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Jack and Jenny (Zachary) Lawrence who are surviving. She married Jeff Clark on April 4, 1986 and he survives. She was a Title 1 teacher with the North Lawrence Community School System. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She was a loving mom and mamaw who had the kind hearted ability to leave a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her loving heart was only eclipsed by her ability to fight and hang on for those she loved.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff, of Bedford; four children, Cagney Clark and wife, Brittany of Orleans, Kreigh Clark and fiancée, Shaleen Hammack of Greenwood, Jaclyn Clark of Seymour, MacKenzie Clark of Bedford; two grandchildren, Cash and Elysian Clark and her parents.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lloyd and Artia Belle Zachary, Archie and Viola Lawrence.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Tuesday, January 7th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Tillett and Donnie McGlothlin officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Monday, January 6th and from 10 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, January 7th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
