William “Bill” R. Brown – Bedford
William “Bill” R. Brown, 79, of Bedford, died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at his residence.
Born April 10, 1934 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of William Raymond and Julia Ruth (Owens) Brown. He married Monta Sue Walker on December 22, 1962 and she preceded him in death in 1995. He was a self-employed
insurance agent. He attended Grace Full Gospel Church and Normanda Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, Steven Brown and wife, Lynelle of Tipton, IN; two grandchildren, Alex and Lanie Brown of Tipton; two brothers, Ronald and Richard Brown both of Bedford; a sister, Bonnie George of Ellettsville; several
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a sister, Judie Armstrong.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Monday, February 17thDay & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Sunday, February 16th and from 10 am until the hour of service Monday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
