Carl Gary “Pudg” Benham – Bedford
Carl Gary “Pudg” Benham, 76, of Bedford, died at 11:59 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, at his residence.
Born September 2, 1937 in Bedford, he was the son of Carl Henry Benham and Geraldine (Fleetwood) Benham Hudson. He married Judy Smith on October 26, 1968; and she survives. He was retired. He was a member of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Benham, Bedford; four sons, Shawn (Melinda) Benham, Springville; Shannon Benham, Spencer; Jody (Laura) Benham, Mitchell; and Jeremy Benham, Bedford; seven grandchildren, Jay, Josh, Jamie, Taylor, Janelle, Shaina, and Jessica; two half-sisters, Lawanna (Steve) Schneck, Little York, IN and Carletta McKinney, Salem, IN; two half-brothers, Byron Benham, Sterling, KY and Tim Benham, Georgetown, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Warren George Hudson; a half-sister, Emily Joan Kelty; and a half-brother, Larry Benham.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, with Pastor Shannon Benham officiating. Burial will be in Hays Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
