Wanda Maxine Woodford – Mitchell
Wanda Maxine Woodford, 76, passed away at 8:22 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2014, at her residence.
Born October 5, 1937, in Orange County, she was the daughter of Clarence and Hazel (Goodpaster) Sanders. She married Ronald Edward Woodford August 13, 1955.Wanda was a homemaker, a member of the Orleans Christian Church, and attended the Bride of Christ Fellowship. She was a very dedicated wife, loving mother, and a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother.
Surviving: husband, Ronald Woodford, Mitchell; daughters, Ronda (Dan) Gillespie, Mitchell; Teresa (Monte) Tirey, Mitchell; Tonia Cagle, Mitchell; Ann (David) Jones, Mitchell; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brothers, Eugene Sanders, Mitchell, Kenneth Sanders, Orleans, Leroy Sanders, French Lick, James Sanders, Orleans; sister, Sandra Morrison, Mitchell
Her parents; son, Randy Eugene Woodford; siblings, William Sanders, Larry Dale Sanders, Robert Sanders, Dorothy Lane, and Barbara Joan Sanders; and grandson, Benjamin Wayne Tirey, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 4, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Jonah and Jason Gillespie officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Horeb Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
