Margaret K. Southern – Bloomington
Margaret Kathryn Southern, 80, of Bloomington, passed away at 3:24 A.M. on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born February 15, 1934 in Monroe County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Archie Dale and Gertrude (Baxter) Cazee.
She married Lloyd Southern; he preceded her in death. She then married Harold Chambers. She was of the Pentecostal Faith. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are three sons, Phillip Southern, of Heltonville, Steve Southern, of Florida, and Robin Chambers, of Heltonville; one daughter, Renolda Chambers, of Bloomington; twelve grandchildren, Kayla Linta and Dustin Chambers lived with their grandmother; 27 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Martha Axsom, of Smithville, Cleo Matlock, of Smithville, and Mary Deckard, of Harrodsburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Larry; one daughter, Diana; and three brothers.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hanson Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Wilma B. (Polly) Skinner – Oolitic
Wilma B. (Polly) Skinner, 94, of Oolitic passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Bell Trace Health and Living Center.
Born March 16, 1920 in Solsberry, IN, she was the daughter of Otis and Marie (Jenkins) Sullivan. When Wilma was a little girl, her Dad owned the grocery in Solsberry. She would go over to the store and ask for a cracker from the cracker barrel. One of the gentlemen on the liar’s bench would kid her and say “Polly want a cracker?” The nickname of Polly stuck with her for the rest of her life.
She attended Solsberry High School. She was a homemaker who had previously worked at RCA and M. Fine & Sons in Bedford. She attended New Life Trinity Holiness Tabernacle. Wilma spent her entire life in church and never wavered in her faith and belief in God. Wilma married Gerald H. Skinner on January 26, 1936, a marriage that lasted 53 years until he preceded her in death in 1989.
Wilma is survived by one daughter-in-law, Verla Skinner of Oolitic; two grandchildren, Buddy (Dee) Skinner of South Carolina and Sherri (Dennis) Hillenburg of Bloomington; three great grandchildren, Aimee (Nathan) Cross of Bloomington, Brandon (Starr) Millick of Monrovia, Erik (Heather) Millick of Ellettsville; seven great great grandchildren, Avery Millick, Braden Millick, Eli Fadely, Noah Hillenburg, Paige Corbett, Trenton Millick and Wren Millick; three nieces, Carole Bennett, Judy (Ron) Childers both of Bloomington and Imogene Baker of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Wanda Mae Drake; her husband and her only son, Gerald (Tom) Skinner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 8th Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Mark Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 am until the hour of service on Thursday, May 8th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
