John F. “Jack” Chorley, Jr. – Las Vegas, NV
John F. “Jack” Chorley, Jr., 66, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Bedford, died at 11:24 pm on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Mt. View Hospital in Las Vegas.
Born July 4, 1948 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of John Frederick Chorley and Josephine Marie Salvio. He married Veda Turner on April 22, 1967 and she survives. He retired from NWSC Crane as a Shop Planner and worked in retail at Party City in Las Vegas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Veda, of Las Vegas, NV; his mother, Josephine Webb of Bedford; a son, Dominick Chorley and wife, Jamie, of Fairfield, OH; a daughter, Merci Chorley of Las Vegas, NV; a granddaughter, Seashell Chorley of Las Vegas, NV; two grandsons, Caleb and Carter Chorley both of Fairfield, OH; two brothers, Jim Chorley of Indianapolis and Dino Moler of Frankfort, IL; a sister, Judy Ypsilantis of Columbus, OH.
He was preceded in death by his father, John.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 30th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day
& Carter Mortuary with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery where military
rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 and D.A.V. Chapter 2. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 29th at Day & Carter Mortuary where a prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 pm.
