Robert Hutchins Templeton – Bedford
Robert Hutchins Templeton, 89, of Bedford, died at 4:41 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at I.U. Health, Bloomington.
Born December 15, 1924 in Manquoketa, IA, he was the son of Allie and Beulah (Hutchins) Templeton. He married Shirley Jean Andrews on January 7, 1946 and she survives, of Bedford. He was an architectural engineer for W.A. Klinger, Inc., construction, Sioux City IA, and retired in 1987.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Jean Templeton, Bedford; two daughters, Teresa (Jeff) Parris, Harleysville, PA and Gwen Harshfield, Springville; two sons, Robert (Gretchen) Templeton, Jr., Madison, WI and Brent (Luanne) Templeton, Bosque, NM; grandchildren Greg Harshfield, Cincinnati, OH, Angie Bell, PA, Debbie Dohman, VA, Melinda Templeton, Las Cruces, NM, Jackie Broderick, Albuquerque, NM and Andrew Templeton, Albuquerque, NM; ten great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Joe Dohman officiating. There will be no visitation hours.
