Janet Middleton – Huron
Janet Middleton, 60, of Huron, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
Kelly Renee (Sanders) Payton – Mitchell

Kelly Renee (Sanders) Payton, 51, of Mitchell, passed away Monday evening, November 24, 2014, at her residence.
Born September 19, 1963, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Harold and Rondee (Qualkenbush) Sanders. She married John William Payton February 14, 1986, and he preceded her in death September 4, 2014. Kelly was employed 24 years at McDonald’s Restaurant. She and was a 1981 graduate of Mitchell High School, and a member of Woodville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, John Calin (Cassie) Payton, Bedford, Ethan Joel Payton, Mitchell; parents, Harold and Rondee Sanders, Mitchell; grandchildren, Keatyn (Payton) McLaughlin, Karsyn (Payton) McLaughlin; sister, Polly (Ron) Grubb, Mitchell; brother, Kipp (Melanie Hunsucker Austin) Sanders, Mitchell; nieces, Addie Grubb, Olivia Sanders, Katie Sanders, and Cara Sanders; great niece, Gunnar Grubb; nephew, Ky (Stephanie) Grubb; great nephew, Morgan Grubb
Her husband, John W. Payton; nephew, Jonah Lee Grubb; grandparents, Robert and Thelma Lindley and Arthur and Addie Sanders, preceded her in death.
Kelly was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and niece. She was called “NaNa” by her nieces and nephews. God must have needed a special angel, our hearts are broken. Kelly was special to all those that knew her. She will be dearly missed but not forgotten. Kelly will live in our hearts forever.
Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, November 28, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Ronnie McLain officiating. Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Payton Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Todd A. Anderson – Mitchell
Todd A. Anderson, 41, of Mitchell passed away on Friday November 21, 2014 at his residence.
He was born on December 19, 1972 in Indianapolis to Stanley William Erdington and Junice (Page) Luckabaugh. Todd graduated from Mitchell High School in 1991, he married Lisa Lynn (Dunfee) Anderson and she preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Junice Luckabaugh and husband Clair, of Mitchell; children Dawn Marie Anderson, of Leavenworth, Hannah Anderson, of Orleans, Kelsey Riley, of Mitchell, Tim Kern, of Bedford; brothers Kyle Edrington, of Mitchell, Scott Edrington, of Avon, Stan Edrington, of Plainfield; stepsisters Dawn Hilker, of Pennsylvania, Heidi Lee, of Ohio; stepbrother Edward Luckabaugh, of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; several aunts; uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, his adopted father, Vesta G. Anderson, wife Lisa Anderson
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Bedford Seventh Day Adventist Church, at 1700 North Pike Road in Bedford, Indiana.

Ernest “Buddy” Hembree Jr. – Halbert Township
Earnest “Buddy” Hembree Jr., 78, passed away at his home in Halbert Township on November 22, 2014 at 6:30 a.m.
He was born in Rutherford Township on August 14, 1936 and was one of 15 children born to Earnest B and Dorothy I, (Hembree) Hembree.
Ernest proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a lifelong truck driver, retiring from Wasbash Trucking in 1997. After retirement he enjoyed spending each day in his man cave with his boxer Rome and he greatly enjoyed his family, but his real light of his eye was his great-grandson Eyan.
He is survived by his son Larry and daughter-in-law Jenny, of Shoals’ one granddaughter Kindra Hovis and her husband Ephrum, of Loogootee; one grandson Kyle Hembree and significant other Kylie Sluder, both of Dugger; one great grandson Eyan Hovis, of Loogootee; brothers Herbert Hembree, of Shoals, Chester Hembree, of Loogootee, Kenny Hembree, of Montgomery, Mark Hembree, of Shoals, David Hembree, of St. Joseph, Missouri; sisters Mrs. Malcom (Doris Jean) Baker, of Alfordsville, Mrs. Louise Dyal, of Odon, Mrs. Ralph (Ruthi) Kindwell, of Washington, Mrs. Karen Schnarr, of Glendale, Mrs. Patrick (JoAnn) Kluesner, of Jasper, Ms. Brenda (Hembree) Marks, of Loogootee and Mrs. Doug (Cheryl) Sult, of Loogootee and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister Linda (Hembree) Fleck and one brother Dennis Stephen Hembree.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals, with a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Keith Edward Harris – Bedford
Keith Edward Harris, 65, of Bedford passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 9:30 p.m. at the IU Hospice House in Bloomington.
He was born in Anderson on December 18, 1948 to Luther & Aaron Beatrice (Flatt) Harris. Keith married Ruth Jackson on August 7, 1971 in Mitchell and she survives. He was a Draftsman and had worked for numerous local companies, he was an US Air Force Veteran serving from 1968-1974.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Harris of Bedford; one daughter Amy Leigh Kendall and husband Donnie of Seattle, Washington; two grandchildren, Zoe Malinda Kendall and Maxwell Andries Kendall both of Seattle, Washington; brother Mark (Wendy) Harris of Carpentersville, Illinois and sister-in-law Sharon Harris of Muncie
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Stephen Harris.
Keith was a member of the Hoosier Hills Ham Radio Club, Lawrence County RACES, and founding member and first president of the Lawrence County Search and Rescue.
No services, cremation was chosen.

Linda Ann Knight – Mitchell
Linda Ann (Anderson) Knight, 71, of Mitchell, passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2014, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born January 4, 1943, she was the daughter of William Arthur Anderson and Viola Fern (Abel) Anderson.
She married Larry Wayne Knight on March 2, 1962; and he preceded her in death on September 3, 1973.
She was a graduate of Bedford High School, Class of 1961. She retired from PRD.
Surviving are four sons, Christopher Knight, Paoli, Timothy (Kelly) Knight, Russellville, KY, James Lee Knight, Mitchell, and Larry D. (Maryann) Knight, Orleans; two daughters, Debra (Tony) Dobson, TN, and Derenda Marcum, Salem; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy (Tim) Smith, SC, and Sandra (Kent) Hammond, Bedford; two brothers, Bill (Jerri) Anderson, Bedford, and Buck (Irma) Anderson, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Jerry and Carl Anderson.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Tom Bostic officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Tuesday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.. and Wednesday from 10 until the service hour at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ronald K. Walton – Mitchell
Ronald K. Walton, 69, of Mitchell, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014, at his residence.
Born June 4, 1945, in Washington County, he was the son of Frank and Gladys (Moore) Walton. He married Alice M. Cooke November 29, 1969, and she preceded him in death February 5, 2007. Ronald retired from the CSX Railroad and was a graduate of West Washington High School. He was a U. S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his daughter, Andrea Wilson, Old Hickory, Tennessee; grandson, Conrad Wilson; brother Danny Walton, Salem; sisters, Vicky Wingler, Salem; Linda Cooke, Salem; Anita Sutton, Saltillo
His parents; wife; and brothers, Charles Walton and Edward Walton, preceded him in death.
A celebration of life service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Rodney Wininger officiating. Cremation was chosen and burial was in Moores Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
