William “Bill” James Taylor, Jr – Bedford
William “Bill” James Taylor, Jr., 74, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital, Bedford.
Born August 25, 1940 in Bedford, Indiana, he was the son of William J., Sr., and Helen O. (Hubbard) Taylor.
He married Vicki P. Hanson on November 13, 1965; she preceded him in death on March 14, 2014. He was a graduate of Shawswick High School, Class of 1959. He was a member of River’s Edge Fellowship Church. He worked at Johnson’s Creamery and Wal-Mart.
Surviving are two sons, Tom (Shelley) Taylor, and Todd (Cheryl) Taylor; one daughter, Aimee (Dave) Mellott; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Vicki.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 1 p.m.. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Pastor Phil Thorne officiating. Burial will be in Clear Spring Baptist Church Cemetery in Jackson County. Friends may call on Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Lois Mae Walters – Bedford
Lois Mae Walters, 94, of Bedford passed away on Saturday January 3, 2015 at 7:25 a.m. at Westview Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Bedford.
She was born in Oolitic on September 7, 1920 to Charles and Martha (Miller) Miller, she attended Oolitic Schools, Lois married Orlando (Bill) Walters on February 16, 1935 in Lawrence County and he preceded her in death. Lois was a homemaker and was a longtime member Englewood Baptist Church. She loved her Bingo, loved her family, enjoyed watching her birds and squirrels, and was an avid Pacer Fan and IU Fan.
Survivors include one son, Steve (Norma) Walters of Bedford; brothers Dean Miller of Bedford, Holbert Miller of Indianapolis, and Charles Miller of California; sisters, Reva Roberts of Bedford and Sharon Lucas of Arizona; Six grandchildren, Mike Terry of Springville, Patty Walls of Bedford, Angela Survance of Bedford, Christie Cook of Bedford, Tami Maddox of Bedford and Terry Walters of Florida; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren
Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Homer and William Miller, sister, Rose Cooney, son, Raymond Walters, daughter, Iris Jean Terry, two daughters in infancy, Martha and Evelyn
Funeral services will be on Wednesday January 7, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home, entombment will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Tuesday January 6, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home, and on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time
Kenneth Martin “Marty” Plummer III – Bedford
Kenneth Martin “Marty” Plummer, III died at 10:00 am on Sunday, January 04, 2015 at the Westview Nursing
and Rehabilitation.
Born April 15, 1954 in Lawrence County he was the son of Kenneth M., Jr. and Ruth (Stailey) Plummer. He married Ellen Roberta Canada on August 4, 1972 and she survives. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bedford, and Oolitic Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading.
Survivors include his wife Roberta of Bedford, two sons: Jeremy Martin Plummer of Bedford, and Jesse Martin Plummer of Bedford; his mother: Ruth Plummer of Bedford; one sister Lee Ann Plummer of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents: Kenneth and Amy Lee Plummer, maternal grandparents: Jesse and Pearl Stailey.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 9th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris and Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Jessica Layne Daughtery – Indianapolis
Jessica Layne Daugherty, 29, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015, at her residence.
Born August 20, 1985, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Kevin and Rita (Box) Daugherty. Jessica was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents, Kevin and Rita Daugherty, Indianapolis; Finace’ Brian Leach, Indianapolis; sister, Kaytlin A. Daugherty, Indianapolis; half sister, Sara Langley, Owensburg; grandparents, Roy and Roberta Box, Williams; David and Gretna Daugherty, Mitchell; several aunts, uncles, and cousins
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Tony Hansen officiating. Burial will be in Lawrenceport Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
