Betty Jewel Hunter – Bedford
Betty Jewel Hunter, 91, of Bedford, died at 4:05 a.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation, Bedford.
Betty was born on September 21, 1923, in Lawrence Co., IN. She first married Raymond Whitted, who died in 1971; she then married George Hunter, who died in 1986. She worked at GM Powertrin, Bedford, in production, and retired in 1984. She was of the Protestant Faith and had attended St. John’s Episcopal Church, Bedford.
Surviving are two daughters, Phyllis June (David) Lipscomb, Heltonville, and Deborah Ann (Robert) Lichtefeld, Bedford; six grandchildren, Brian Lipscomb and Rob (Jackie) Lipscomb, both of Heltonville, Bridget (Steven) Deckard, Bedford, Natalie Lichtefeld, Evansville, Kevin Williams, Bedford and Julie (Matthew) Pinnell, San Ociaso, CA; eight great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; a daughter, Orita Williams; two sisters, Katherine Kittle and Frances Cameron; and a great granddaughter, Hillary Deckard.
There will be no visitation or funeral services. Burial will occur in Beech Grove Cemetery, at a later date.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford.

Roberta Thompson – Bedford
Roberta Thompson, 76, of 262 Dark Hollow Road, Bedford, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at her residence.
Born August 23, 1938 in Jackson Co., she was the daughter of Gorden R. and Delphia I. (Fleetwood) Henderson. She
married Perry Thompson, Sr. on March 22, 1963 and he preceded her in death on July8, 1994. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Perry L. Thompson, Jr. of Bedford; a daughter, Brenda K. Ikerd of Bedford; two brothers, Larry W. and Robert D. Henderson both of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Graveside services will be conducted at Noon on Wednesday, January 14th at Patton Hill Cemetery with John Lee officiating. There are no calling hours.

Donald Ray Richards – Griffith
Ray Richards, 85, of Griffith, IN, formerly of Terre Haute, died at 8:15 pm on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Core Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bedford.
Born September 15, 1929 in Terre Haute, he was the son of Elmo and Sarah (McMillian) Richards. He married Janetta Daniels and she survives. He had been employed as a railroad worker. He retired as a truck driver for Alcan Aluminum in Terre Haute. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Terre Haute.
Survivors include his wife, Janetta, of Griffith; two sons, Daniel Ray Richards and wife, Lori, of Garner, NC and Darren Wayne Richards and wife, Jo Ann, of Griffith; three grandchildren, Nathan, Jonathan and David.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Shirley (Danner) Richards and a brother (in infancy).
Memorial services will be conducted at 7 pm on Thursday, January 22nd at the Bible Baptist Church in Terre Haute with Pastor Bob Parker officiating.
