Maggie Sue McFadden – Bedford
Maggie Sue McFadden, 84, of Bedford, died at 2:40 pm on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the White River Lodge.
Born February 13, 1931 in Normangee, TX, she was the daughter of Tolbert Childress and Gladys (Martin) Childress Burton. She married John McFadden on February 19, 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2000. She retired from Cook, Inc. and attended the First Church of God of Bedford.
Survivors include a daughter, Diana Allen and husband Lowell of French Lick, IN; two sons, Lee McFadden and wife Martha of Anderson, IN and Joe McFadden and wife Alice of Bedford; one sister, Betty Zanetti and husband Joe of Foley, AL; eight grandchildren, Jim Blackwell and wife Carrie of Bedford; Tracy Lounsbery and husband Jason of Morgantown, IN; Misty Swayer and husband Jonathon of Orleans, IN; Reid McFadden and wife Hannah of Franklin, TN; Kelsey McFadden of Anderson, IN and Alaina McFadden of Bedford; Step grandchildren, Eddie Allen and wife Kasey of Brazil, IN and Kevin Allen of Bedford; six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John and one brother, Jerry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Ken Ransom officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, IN. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
