Margaret Brown – Bedford

Margaret Brown, 82, of Bedford, died at 12:55 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Westview Nursing and Rehab. in Bedford.
Born February 25, 1933 in Somerset, KY, she was the daughter of Joseph and Louella (McDermed) Cassidy. She married Dick Brown on July 22, 1956 and he survives. She was a homemaker and member of the Avoca Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dick, of Bedford; a daughter, Salli Hanners and husband, Jeff, of Springville; a son, Rick Brown of Bedford; three grandchildren, Jeremy, Jake and Stephen Lake; a great grandson, Tate Lake; a sister, Jeanette Nikirk of Oolitic.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bill, Ben, Carl and Jim Cassidy; sisters, Ginny Ray, Catherine Dorsett and Joann Cassidy; her in-laws, Ruth and Raymond Brown.

Roy R. Ramey, 93, of Mitchell, passed away Monday morning at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.

Violet Hedrick – MItchell
June 17, 1933 – October 29, 2015
Violet Hedrick, 82, of Mitchell, passed away Thursday evening, October 29, 2015, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.
Born June 17, 1933, in Trinity Springs, she was the daughter of Luther M. and Rosey Ann (Chasteen) Gilbert. She married Murlin Jones in 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1970. Her second marriage was to Harold Hedrick November 28, 1971, and he also preceded her in death. Violet was a caregiver and had been affiliated with Fishing Creek Chapel and Alfordsville Christian Church. She was a member of the Mitchell Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her sons, Murlin Jones, Port Orange, Florida, David Lee Jones, Mitchell; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Viola Parsley, Dover Hill, George Gilbert, Terre Haute
Her parents; husbands; siblings, Donald Gilbert, Albert Gilbert, Delbert Gilbert, Iva Russell, Ernest Gilbert, Everett Gilbert; and special friend, Catherine Kavanaugh, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Jim Russell officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Rhea Dawn (Walls) Sons, 57, of Mitchell, passed away Friday evening, October 30, 2015, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.
