Lester Eugene Gammon – Shoals
Lester Eugene Gammon, 78, of Shoals, passed away on Sunday, January 10 2016 at the University of Louisville Hospital following several weeks of injury from a burn.
Born on December 17, 1939 in Martin County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Roman and Margaret Irene (Terrell) Gammon. He married Judy A Tedrow on August 10, 1961 and she preceded him in death on July 20 2000.
Lester graduated from Shoals High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired as an explosive supervisor from NSWC Crane in 1993. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeries 2442, V.F.W. Post 8589 and Shoals American Legion Post 61.
Surviving are three daughters, Terri L. Gammon, Shelly Gammon Emmons and husband Chuck Emmons and Pamela D. Gammon, all of Shoals; 6 grandchildren, Brittany Erwin, Justin Emmons, Lindsey Emmons, Tracy Spurgeon, Jerad Emmons and Harley Gammon; six great-grandchildren; brother Gerald Gammon, of Shoals; sister Margaret Campbell, of Lexington, IN; brother-in-law Larry Stroud, of Shoals and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Judy, longtime companion Marcella Russell; son Lester Gammon Jr. in infancy, one brother Robert Gammon and one sister Wilma Stroud.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Brother Matthew Sullivan will officiate the service. The American Legion Post 61 will accord military graveside rites.

Todd Nelson Thomas – Bedford
April 18, 1964 – January 10, 2016
Todd Nelson Thomas, 51, of Bedford, died on January 10, 2016, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Donna (Wilder) Thomas. Also surviving are his daughter, Catherine (Isaac) Brown of Jasper, and his son, Tyler, at home.
He was born on April 18, 1964 in Bedford to Harry Lee and Rhea Dawn Thomas.
A 1982 graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School, he spent a number of years in the tool and die trade before opening his own business, TNT Computers, in 1999. Todd was an avid beekeeper, a founding member of the Bedford Beekeepers, and was also active in beekeeping in state-level organizations. After moving back to the family farm in 2014, he started a small cow/calf operation. He was a member of Central Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Lee and Rhea Dawn (Harrell) Thomas. In addition to his wife and children, survivors include his brothers Scott (Kathi) Thomas, Bedford, John (Peggy) Thomas, Bedford, several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home from 2 p.m. till 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2016 and until the time of the funeral at 10 a.m. Thursday, which will be held at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Pinhook Cemetery.
