Frances Bernice Henderson – Mitchell
Frances Bernice Henderson, 96, of Mitchell, passed away Wednesday morning, August 3, 2016, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born December 25, 1919, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of James Freed and Mary Bernice (Millard) Starr. She married James Leo Henderson May 3, 1946, and he preceded her in death November 5, 1977. Bernice was a member of the First Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Martin, Bedford; sisters, Barbara Poole, Bedford, Carma Nash, Bloomington; 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews
Her parents; husband; infant son, William Watterson; and siblings, James F. Starr, William Starr, Opal Merle Starr, Ilene Burnette, and Ruth Allen, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 6, at Leatherwood Cemetery with Reverend Reggie Clark officiating. There is no scheduled visitation.
