Chris Alan Manning, 48, of Bedford, passed away Sunday morning, August 14, 2016, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born September 16, 1967, in Bedford, He was the son of Ernest Gene and Gloria Gail (Nickless) Manning. He married Kimberly Brook White June 5, 2004. Chris was a graduate of Bedford High School and a member of the Order of the Moose Lodge No. 689. He was an avid racing and baseball fan, and loved watching his kids play ball.
Survivors include wife, Kimberly Brooke Manning of Mitchell; children, Jordan (Angel) Manning of Avoca, Austin (Jaylen) Manning of Avoca, Clayton Manning of Mitchell, Kamdyn Manning of Mitchell, Kalyn White of Mitchell; mother and stepfather, Gail and Gary Fish of Oolitic; stepmother, Terry Manning of Bedford; granddaughter, Hadley Rose Manning; siblings, Roger (Jody) Manning of Oolitic, Pam (Rick) Canada of Oolitic, Kelly (Tim) Knight of Lewisburg, Kentucky, Stormy (Robert) Prince of Bedford, Freddie (Mary) Padgett of Loogootee, Mike (Lori) Fish of Bedford, Joe (Cindy) Fish of Avoca, Debra (Donald) White of Mitchell, Jason (Angie) Fish of Bloomington, Jake (Kelly) Fish of Georgetown; grandmother, Barbara Fish of Bedford; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews
His father, Ernest Gene Manning; and grandparents, Ruth and Herschel Nickless, and Robert and Margaret Manning, preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Ronnie McLain officiating. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
