Barbara Jean Poole – Mitchell
Barbara Jean Poole, 80, of Mitchell, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Santa Rosa Health and Rehabilitation Center in Milton, Florida.
Born September 18, 1935, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of James Freed and Mary Bernice (Millard) Starr. She married Leslie Amos Poole November 2, 1952, and he preceded her in death July 22, 2004.
Barbara was a homemaker and enjoyed her flowers and bird watching.
Survivors include her children, Debbie (Dave) Tedrow, Bedford, Lesliann Poole, Mitchell, Diane Poole, Bedford, Traci Taylor, Mitchell, Mindy (Buddy) Pettyjohn, Milton, Florida, Missy (Bob) Gillis, Bedford, Billie (Kevin) Frazier, Mitchell, Michael (Mary) Poole, Mitchell, Dana Poole, Mitchell, Heather (Darin) McKim, Bloomington, Brandon (Julie) Poole, Loogootee; grandchildren, Tonya, Carrie, Adam, Colin, Kelsey, Bryce, Cory, Kamron, Bronson, Caleb, Dakota, Ashley, Jessica, Rachel, AnnMarie, Miranda, Brittany, Chandler, Skyler, Peyton, Meagan, Taylor, Matthew, and Nicholas; 29 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Carma Nash, Bloomington
Her parents; husband and siblings, James F. Starr, William Starr, Opal Starr, Ilene Burnett, Ruth Allen, and Bernice Henderson, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 10a.m. Friday, August 19, in Knott Cemetery with Pastor Dave Mikulsky officiating. There is no scheduled visitation.
