Catherine “Cathy” D. VanMeter, 63, of Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at her residence.
Born February 2, 1953 in Bedford, Indiana, she is the daughter of Morris Luttrell and Lucille (Beedie) Pearson. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She retired from Visteon in Bedford.
Surviving are her mother, Lucille Pearson; two daughters, Jamie Chastain, of Paoli, and Terri (Raymond) Keith, of Bedford; nine grandchildren, Justin Chastain, Christopher Chastain, Aaron Chastain, Jessa Chastain, Jackie Keith, Trisha Keith, Shane VanMeter, Lea Philpott, and Nate Busch; sixteen great-grandchildren, with three more great-grandchildren expected; two brothers, Jon Luttrell and Kevin Luttrell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Morris Luttrell; step-father, Pete Pearson; daughter, Kelly VanMeter; brothers, Terry, Greg, and Doug Luttrell; grandson, Cody Keith; and great-granddaughter, McKayla Chastain.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Father Rick Eldred and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, 1-6 P.M. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel. The Rosary will be prayed at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
