Connie Lou Blackwell – Mitchell
Connie Lou Blackwell, 69, of Mitchell, passed away Tuesday evening, December 27, 2016, at her residence.
Born February 8, 1947, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Denzil G. and Orpha Louise (Horner) Blackwell. Connie retired from RCA with 33 years of service. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1965.
Survivors include her sisters, Karen (Terry) Sorrells of Bedford, Vickie Godsey of Orleans, Denise (Mike) Owens of Mitchell; brother, George (Dorothy) Blackwell of Mitchell
Her parents preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Mitchell Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie McLain officiating. There is no scheduled visitation.

Marjorie H. Elmore – Mitchell
October 4, 1931 – December 28, 2016
Marjorie H. Elmore, 85,of Mitchell, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born October 4, 1931, in Walton, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harry Edmund and Ida H. (Pierce) Larimer Armstrong. She married Kenneth E. Elmore November 21, 1948, and he preceded her in death May 21, 1994. Marjorie had been employed as a bookkeeper at Leath Furniture and Cabot Corporation in Kokomo. She was a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church and Bedford Medical Center Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth Lee (Cathy) Elmore of Kokomo, Vickie Jean Haas of Newburgh, Mark Frederick Elmore of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Stacey Alexander, Laurie Ervin, Sy, Nathan, and Micah (Bailee) Haas, Sarah, Heather and Jacob Elmore; great grandchildren, Brooke, Shelby, and Bryce Alexander, Megan, Allyson, and Mason Bunch, Cooper and Carter Hass, Emilee, Hallee, and Ainslee Haas
Her parents; husband; brothers, James Larimer and Frederick Armstrong; and sisters, Naomi Cox and Jean Anderson, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 31, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
