Gail Lynn England, 54, of Mitchell, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at her residence.
Born February 4, 1963, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Joseph Marvin and Mildred Eloise (Lindsey) Tarr. She married John David England September 12, 1987. Gail was a beautician and had previously been employed by the U. S. Postal Service. She loved camping, karaoke, vacations, and being with her family. Gail was a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include her husband, John England of Mitchell; mother, Mildred Tarr of Mitchell; children, Michael (Marci) England of Mitchell, Matt (Robyn) England of Mitchell, J. D. (Cassie) England of Mitchell, Nikki (Brew) Wright of Williams, Brad (Ashley) Cain of Jeffersonville, Brittany (B. J.) Bryson of Mitchell; grandchildren, Caelan, Nolan, Mattie, Parish, Rayce, Austin, Myca, Zander, Bo, Aurora, Gabriela, Violet, Cole, Diesel, Liam, Xavier, Knox, Rayne; great grandchildren, Russell and Arison; siblings, Bob Tarr of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Benny Tarr of Bedford, Lana Duncan of Bloomington, Gary Tarr of Mitchell, Randy Tarr of Bedford, Beverly Chastain of Mitchell, Beth Ann Newlin of Orleans, Sandy Eastridge of Mitchell, Joe Tarr of Bedford
Her father, and brothers, Terry Tarr and Donald Tarr, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 10, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Steve Jones and Tara Powell officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Chase Tanner Aliano – Bedford
November 30, 1995 – January 31, 2017
Chase Tanner Aliano, 21, of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in Greene County.
Born November 30, 1995, in Bedford, he was the son of Steven R. Aliano and Bambi (Smith) Aliano. Chase attended Bedford North Lawrence High School where he was a member of the golf team. He was an avid outdoorsman, and his true passions were hunting and fishing. Chase had a magnificent smile that was only exceeded in magnitude by his generous heart. He was a sweet soul and was loved by everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his parents, Steven R. Aliano and Bambi (Smith) Aliano, both of Bedford; his maternal grandfather, Harold R. Smith, of Bedford; his paternal grandfather, Robert D. Aliano, of Bedford; his step-grandfather, Ray Butler, of Mitchell; aunts, Bobbi Jean Leach and husband, Mike, and Shawna Aliano, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dixie Butler; his paternal grandmother, Barbara J. Aliano and an aunt, Tammy J. March.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am on Friday, February 10th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bob Courson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Mary Lou Stroud – Mitchell
September 12, 1940 – February 6, 2017
Mary Lou Stroud, 76, of Mitchell, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born September 12, 1940, in Urbana, Illinois. She was the daughter of Harold and Addie (Jones) McQuown. She married Dale Allen Stroud January 23, 1960, and he preceded her in death December 2, 2012. Mary was a U.S. Navy Veteran, and a member of the American Legion Post No. 250. She was a homemaker, and owned Country Candles.
Surviviors include her children, Donna Woody of Indianapolis, Dennis Stroud of Arkansas, Douglas (Michelle R.) Stroud of Mitchell; grandchildren, Damon Woody, Dana Woody, Ryan Stroud, Kayla Stroud, Michael Stoud, C.J. Torres, Jacob Stroud, Taylor Stroud; great grandchildren, Calob Barron, Teagan Woody, Marissa Stroud, McKenzie Stroud, Mia Stroud, Macey Stroud, Olivia Stroud, Liam Stroud, Hayden, Maddox, Logan Maddox, and Kylie Maddox; sister, Sandra Sanders of Texas
Her parents; husband; and sister, Nancy Webb, preceded her in death.
Cremation has been chosen. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
