Mychell “Shelly” Lynn Berry – Mitchell
March 31, 1969 – June 30, 2017
Mychell “Shelly” Lynn Berry, 48, of Bedford, formerly of Logansport and Colorado Springs, died at 4:30 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Garden Villa.
Born March 31, 1969, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Ralph LeRoy Berry and Karen Mychell Quinn. She has been a resident of Garden Villa for thirty- seven years and has participated in the Special Olympics.
Survivors include her mother, Karen Mychell Quinn of Mitchell; one sister, Jacqueline Guyer and husband Paul; one brother, Philip Berry and wife Tina; nieces, Amanda Berry, Meredith Berry, Peighton Guyer, Arielle Guyer, Sydney Berry, and Hannah Berry; a great nephew, Braydon; and a great niece, Paisley.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph LeRoy Berry.
The family asked that contributions be made to American Cancer Society or Garden Villa Activities Department in lieu of flowers.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

James M. Tow Jr. – Mitchell
James M. Tow, Jr., 63, of Mitchell, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, at the home of his mother.
Born October 11, 1953, in Lawrence County, he was the son of James M. and Betty J. (King) Tow, Sr.
James was a stone carver and a 1971 graduate of Mitchell High School.
Survivors include son, Tracy White of Bedford; daughter, Jessica Thorton of Mitchell; mother, Betty Tow of Mitchell; grandchildren, Catalina White, Selena Thorton, LaKayla Thorton, Audrey, Thorton, and Jacob Peyton; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Angela Shifflett of Mitchell, Bonita G. Wagner of Mitchell
His father; nephew, Jeremy Steele; and great nephew, Britan Holt, preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen with no visitation.

Frank F. Hughes – Bedford
September 27, 1928 – July 2, 2017
Frank F. Hughes, 88, of Bedford, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at his residence.
Born September 27, 1928, he was the son of William R. and Goldie Mae (Van Deventer) Hughes. He married Dorothy Elvira Stewart on February 7, 1947 and she preceded him in death on March 10, 2015. He retired as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Valley Mission Church of the Nazarene and Operating Engineers Union #181. He was very active in his church and was a bee keeper.
Survivors include two sons, Samuel R. Hughes of San Antonio, TX and Frank Keith Hughes and wife, Susan, of Corinth, TX; two daughters, Darlene Hughes and Jeanette Foreman and husband, Keith, all of Bedford; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son, Jackie Lee Hughes; a great grandson, Ryan; four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 6th at the Valley Mission Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Paul Whiteford and Rev. Carl Gilmore officiating. Burial will follow in Hanson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Valley Mission Church of the Nazarene.
