Allan Dale Clines, 92, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at his residence.
Born May 31, 1925, in Missouri, he was the son of Otis and Martha (Tuttle) Clines.
He married Helen M. Downham; she preceded him in death on June 17, 2017. Allan worked at Deitzen’s Baking Co. for 25 years, Extruded Alloy for 15 years, Penn Railroad, East Texas Oil Fields, Farmed in Arkansas, Wood Cutter, Cut Stave Bolts, and State Park Caretaker, Ironton, Ohio. He was of the Baptist Faith. Allan loved to fish and hunt.
Surviving are children, Priscella Kay (Dennis) Sproles and William Allan “Bill” (Pamela) Clines; grandchildren, Bryan A. (Karen) Clines, Tony (Christy) Sproles, William Adam (Julie) Clines, and Ashtan (Jason) Bean; and great-grandchildren, Danielle Clines, Jaylyn Sproles, Gracie Sproles, Josie Young-Clines, Kaylee Bean, and Kristian Bean.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 72 years, Helen Clines; two brothers, Clifton Clines and Raymond Clines; and one sister, Zova (Clines) Harrison.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m.. on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes with Pastor Mike Eads officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Baptist Cemetery in Silverville. Friends may call on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral chapel.
