Nina R. Strauser – Bedford
October 22, 1932 – September 23, 2017
Nina R. Strauser, 84, of Bedford,went home to be with the Lord at 2:04 pm on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born October 22, 1932, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Adam and Maude R. (Miller) Hotz. She married Roy E. Strauser on November 26, 1952 and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1996. She had worked at J.C. Penney, and Crulo Trucking. She was a graduate of Needmore High School and a member of the Hillcrest Christian Church. She loved to garden and was a master seamstress who loved making quilts, crocheting and any other needlework. She loved her family and church family.
Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca J. Terry and husband, Jack, Janet Lynn and husband, David, all of Bedford; three grandsons, Bruce Lynn and wife, Sarah, of Greenwood, Mark Lynn and wife, Heather, and Kevin Lynn and wife, Alley, all of Bedford; two granddaughters, Amanda Mitchell and husband, Scott, of Oolitic and Lindsey Gerkin and husband, Kyle, of Mitchell; nine great grandchildren, Gracyn, Cayden, Dalton, Isaiah, Isaac, Jacob, Aubrey, Eli, and Asher; two sisters-in- law, Judy Strauser, of Springville and Charlotte Brinegar, of Bloomington; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister, Alice Hotz.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27th at Hillcrest Christian Church with Pastors Mark Fugate and Charlie Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Judah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26th and from 9 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday at the Hillcrest Christian Church.
Pallbearers are: David Lynn, Jack Terry, Bruce Lynn, Mark Lynn,
Kevin Lynn, Scott Mitchell and Kyle Gerkin.

Norma J. Reynolds – Bedford
October 7, 1927 – September 23, 2017
Bedford – Norma J. Reynolds, 89, of Bedford, died at Noon on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the I.U. Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born October 7, 1927, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Lee Myers and Rhett Myers Winkler. She married Thomas Edward “Doc” Reynolds on August 31, 1950 and he survives. She had been a bookkeeper at Fultz Auto Supply, the Unemployment Office, and Walls & Walls Insurance Agency. She owned Norma’s Fashions, and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Norma enjoyed many trips to Disney with her family and loved feeding and watching birds and deer.
Survivors include her husband, “Doc”, of Bedford; a daughter, Linda Pittman and husband, Paul, of Bedford; a son, Lincoln Reynolds and wife, Melanie, of Bedford; a son-in- law, Jean “Butch” LeJeune, of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Jason Reynolds, of Bedford, Christine LeJeune Mayes, and husband, Grant, of Columbus, OH, J.T. LeJeune, of Bloomington and companion, Laura Hunsucker; a brother, Norman (Bud) Myers, of Buffalo, WY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, LeeAnn LeJeune and a brother, Donnie Myers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27 th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Nathan Sundt officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26 th and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
