Loretta M. Richards – Mitchell

Loretta M. Richards, 82, of Mitchell, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Bloomington Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born March 16, 1935, in Jonesville, Virginia, she was the daughter of Dan and Glessye (Hedrick) Munsey. She married Glenn Richards August 4, 1956, and he preceded her in death May 3, 1994.
Loretta had been employed by Older Americans and was a 1952 graduate of Mitchell High School. She was a member of Jacob Finger United Methodist Church. Loretta loved to cook, and enjoyed her church family and helping others.
Surviving: son, Robert G. (Nancy) Richards of Bedford; grandchildren, Kyle Richards and Amber Payton, great grandchildren, Stewart and Emma Payton; siblings, Jim (Jane) Munsey of Portland, Oregon, Earl (Audrey) Munsey of Savannah, Georgia, Treva (Norman) Cooper of Houston, Texas, Linda Richards of Indianapolis
Her parents; husband; daughter, Debbie Lynn Richards; and sister, Helen Eichelberger,
preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Jack Shake officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
