Linda “Susie” Poole – Greenwood
February 18, 1949-May 25, 2018
Linda Poole, 69, of Greenwood and formerly of Bedford passed away at 8:12 P.M. on Friday, May 25th at the Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN.
Born in Lawrence County, IN on February 18, 1949, she was the daughter of John F. Poole and Idabelle (Tincher) Meadows. She retired from AT & T as a directory assistance operator after 27 years and custodian for Oakland City University Bedford.
Surviving is her son, Jon Poole and his wife, Tina of Greenwood; two brothers, Freeland “Butch” Poole and Rick D. Poole both of Bedford; Aunt Jacquie Gardner of Bloomfield and Uncle Bill Tincher of Bedford; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents and step mother, Vera C. Poole
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 31st in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Ralph “Frog” Poole officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopkins Cemetery in Needmore. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 30th at Day & Carter Mortuary and on Thursday, May 31st from Noon until the hour of the service.
