Grace Thelma Noe – Mitchell

Grace Thelma Noe, 97, of Mitchell, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born July 15, 1920, in Cowpens, South Carolina, she was the daughter of Russell and Rhoda Darcas (Bryant) Fletcher. She married Ray W. Noe December 24, 1937, and he preceded her in death April 12, 2000.
Grace was owner of Noe’s Chicken House and had also been employed at Nick Spaulding’s Drive-In. She loved doing things with her family and attended Fishing Creek Chapel.
Survivors include her children, Tresa (David) Borg of Lake Worth, Texas, Charles (Janet) Noe of Mitchell, Mary Lamberson of La Follette, Tennessee, Bobbie (Mary Jane) Noe of Mitchell; multiple grandchildren, several great grandchildren, 4 great great; grandchildren and 2 great great great grandchildren; siblings, George Fletcher of Fresno, California, Betty Fernandez of Indio, California, Nora Reynolds of Hendrick, North Carolina
Her parents; husband; daughter, Deborah Noe; and five brothers and one sister, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 28, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Darrin Chastain officiating. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Lawrenceport Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Beverly H. Rayhill – Bedford

Beverly H. Rayhill, 78, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018, following an automobile accident.
Born October 28, 1939, in Crystal, she was the daughter of Homer Claude and Bernice (Johnson) Harris. She married Joe Carl Rayhill August 30, 1973.
Beverly had been employed at Trav-Ler Radio Corporation and was also a waitress at Spring Mill Inn.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Carl Rayhill of Bedford and nieces and nephews
Her parents preceded her in death.
Graveside service at Mitchell Cemetery is pending.

Betty L. Smith – Bedford

Betty L. Smith, 82, of Bedford, died Monday, June 25, 2018 at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born September 3, 1935, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Coy and Hazel (Sullivan) Johnson. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Haynes and husband, Eddie, of Bedford and Barbara Potter, of Indianapolis; two
sons, Gary Smith of Anderson, IN and Terry Smith and wife, Sharon, of Pendleton, IN; eight grandchildren, Nathan and Jacob Haynes, of Bedford, Hollie Eller and Lee Smith, of Anderson, Michael and Tracy Smith, of Pendleton, Jeff and Jennifer Chew, of Indianapolis; four great grandchildren; a nephew, Lloyd Johnson, Jr., of Bedford, who was raised in the home; two brothers, Lloyd (Fuzz) Johnson, of Bedford and Richard (Dick) Johnson, of East Oolitic
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Betty Lou Smith (in infancy); three sisters, Wanda Harvey, Mary Black, and Norma Box; a brother, Robert (Bob) Johnson; nieces, Anita Deckard and Leta Johnson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 29th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter
Mortuary with Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 28th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
