Cletus Harold Gilbert – Bedford

Cletus Harold Gilbert, 72, passed away suddenly Friday, August 3, 2018, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.
Born May 8, 1946, in Martin County, he was the son of Leo and Elzina (Blake) Gilbert. He married Anne Wambold April 12, 2013.
Cletus retired from Otis Elevator. He attended the First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed tinkering, and being outdoors. He loved to hunt mushrooms and fish.
Cletus was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of American Legion Post No. 250.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Gilbert of Bedford; sons, Donnie Gilbert of Valparaiso, Cletus Gilbert, Jr., of Florida, Daniel Gilbert of Mitchell, Shane Gilbert of Bloomfield; 14 grandchildren; 1 great grandson
His parents and siblings, John Gilbert, Charlie Gilbert, David Gilbert, Bobby Gilbert, Mary Jones, Juanita Marshall, Opal Gordon, and Hazel Pemberton preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, at Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
