Patricia “Patty” Jean Raines, 78, of Sacramento, CA, formerly of Bedford, passed away in California on January 25, 2019.
Born September 25, 1940, in Bedford/Leesville, she was the eldest daughter of Ray and Galdas (Hack) Fender. She
married Wayne Edward Raines on October 21, 1959. She was a graduate of Tunnelton High School, class of 1958
and was a mother, homemaker and later a school teacher aide at Milpitas Christian School in California. She was a
member of the Park Victoria Baptist Church in San Jose, California.
Survivors include her brother, Donny Fender, of Bedford; sisters, Brenda Price, of Bedford and Naomi Goodrich, of
Tucson, AZ; three sons, Timothy Raines (Debbie), of Sacramento, CA, Rodney Raines (Glenda), of Manteca, CA,
Joshua Raines (Angie), of Vista, CA; seven grandchildren, Josephine, Wesley, Kimberly, Juliana, Chandler, Daniel,
Alicia Raines. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 2nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Leatherwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, February 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
