(MITCHELL) – Marion Township Volunteer Fire Department was called to a mobile home fire just before 1 p.m. at 754 Mill Creek Road with possible entrapment.

Firefighters arrived just after 1 p.m. to find the single home mobile home engulfed in flames.

According to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department police log, the home is owned by Randy and Gale Terrell. The Red Cross was alerted to assist the family.
Mitchell and Huron Volunteer Fire Departments were alerted to assist.
Attack lines were deployed, and firefighters discovered no one was trapped inside, says Marion VFD Chief Paul Gillespie.

“Fire was brought under control and units remained on scene until 4:45 p.m.,” Chief Gillespie added. “The cause of the fire remains under investigation.”
Marion VFD responded with four apparatus and ten firefighters, Mitchell VFD arrived with one apparatus and four firefighters. Huron VFD arrived with an additional tanker and responded with one apparatus and three firefighters.
