(ORLEANS) – Back for the third consecutive year on April 20, is the popular Dogwood Century Bicycle Tour which begins and ends at the Orleans Jr./Sr. High School. Century riders please be on course by 8 a.m.
Offered are distances of 25, 55, and 75-mile routes for those wanting a shorter ride.
Online early registration is recommended but the day of registration and check-in is from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. at the Orleans High School.
There are already more than 100 athletes signed up and coming from Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and all over Indiana to participate in this event.
This is no ordinary ride but a Signature tour which highlights famous landmarks of Lawrence and Orange counties. The ride is known for being a hilly and fun challenge surrounded by beautiful Amish countryside.
The route is marked clearly and SAG support is close throughout the entire ride. Included is a meal served by Orleans Tri Kappa and also many snack and drink stops throughout the ride.
This event gives back 100 percent to the community and supports the Dogwood Festival, local scholarships, and to the Gary SInise Foundation.
