(BEDFORD) – Several members of the Mitchell and Bedford communities were recently surprised with envelopes of cash during their morning routines.
As part of their 50th Anniversary celebration, Hoosier Hills Credit Union has launched a campaign to give away 50 $50 bills to 50 randomly selected people within their southern Indiana service footprint. The event began in Paoli and Orleans, continued in Mitchell and concluded in Bedford Wednesday, April 10.
Members of the Hoosier Hills Credit Union “Prize Patrol” enjoyed the opportunity to award prizes to students, veterans, retirees and workers on lunch breaks.

“Having the opportunity to put our mission of making a positive difference in the communities we serve was rewarding for all of us,” said HHCU President and CEO George McNichols. “And the people we were able to interact with seemed to enjoy it as well.”
The Credit Union’s $50 for 50 event, tagged #HHCU50for50 on social media, continues in the rest of their service areas over the next two weeks.
