Charles W. Needs III – Shoals
March 6, 1976 – May 13, 2019
Charles W. Needs III, 43, of Shoals, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019, at his residence.
He was born March 6, 1976, in Aurora, Illinois to Charles Jr. and Janet L. (Burton) Needs. Charles was employed at the Dairy Queen in Loogootee and was previously employed by Kimball International in Jasper and Lloyd Graber of Odon.
He is survived by his mother, Janet L. Burton of Evansville; his father, Charles W. Needs Jr. of Illinois; three daughters, Mekah Terry of Shoals, Jasmine Needs of Loogootee, Alyssa Needs of Texas; brothers and sisters, Alex Hendrick of Wisconsin, Misheal Salinas of Aurora, Illinois, Chad Needs of Illinois, Gary Needs of Illinois, Brandy Needs of Illinois, Jen-neal Needs of Illinois, Krista Murry of New Albany, Mississippi and Nicole Dowdy of New Albany, Mississippi. Many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins also survive.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Friday at the Queen-Lee Chapel.
Donations may be made to the family.

Perry Lee”Bubby” Staggs – Camby

Perry Lee”Bubby” Staggs, 73, of Camby, IN, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019, surrounded by his family and friends.
Born June 14, 1945, he was the son of Perry E. and Georgia (Bolding) Staggs. He married Mamie “Jeanette” Scalf on June 28, 1964, and she survives. He retired from the Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo in 1998. After retirement, he worked part-time for BP gas station in Waverly, IN and as a security guard for Greenwood Park Mall.
Survivors include his wife, Mamie ‘Jeanette” Staggs, of Camby, IN; three children, Sandra (Randy) Huff, of Bedford, Terry (Tracy) Staggs, of Orange City, FL, and Brian (Mary) Staggs, of Camby, IN; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Kenny Staggs; a sister, Martha Hawkins, and a granddaughter, Kirsten Aline Huff.
He was loved and will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 17th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Gorman Scalf, Rev. Mark Wright, and Rev. William Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Hayes Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 16th at Spring Hill Christian Center in Mooresville, IN and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, May 17th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Sue Ann New – Bedford

Sue Ann New, 82, of Bedford, died at 5:15 am on Monday, May 13, 2019, at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born December 31, 1936, in Oolitic, she was the daughter of Walter and Moneva (Lawyer) Staley. She married Gerald Dean New on June 24, 1955, and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2009. She was a teacher’s aide and librarian at the N. Western School District of Shelby County. She was a member of the Oolitic United Methodist Church.
Survivors include children, Mark Alan New and wife, Linda Anthony, of North Vernon, Cheryl Ann Williams and husband, Jerry Dejong, of Fountain Town, IN, Gary Scott New and wife, Jennifer of Lebanon, TN; ten grandchildren, Craig New, Lauren New, Andrew New, Bradley New, Brooke Williams, Ashley New, Haley New, Kelsey New, Alexander New, and Jon Anthony; twelve great-grandchildren, Olivia, Whitney, Timmy, Valarie, Joey, Jayler, Ryley, Jayleen, Rayden, Kessey, Shilo, and Rheia; a sister, Linda Benson and husband, Richard, of New Palestine, IN; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Joy and Patsy New, and April Staley; brothers-in-law, Larry New and wife, Judy, of Bedford, and Jerry New, of Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Walter, and Robert Staley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 16th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Harold Godsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the hour of service on Thursday, May 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Jerry Edward Seidle – Bedford

Jerry Edward Seidle, 84, of Bedford, died at 4:28 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019, at his residence.
Born September 28, 1934, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Walter and Dorothy (McDonald) Seidle. He married
Twanette Fiddler on February 25, 1961, and she survives. He retired as a bricklayer after thirty-one years at General
Motors and he was a member of the U.S. National Guard and Englewood Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Twanette, of Bedford; three sons, Brian Seidle and wife, Catherine, of Jacksonville, FL,
Brett Seidle and wife, Claudia, and Brad Seidle and wife, Natalie, all of Bedford; grandchildren, Alec Seidle, Alaina
Seidle, Aaron Seidle, Christian Seidle, Alexis Seidle, Parker Seidle, and Preston Seidle; two brothers, Rudy and David
Seidle; a sister, Norma Jean Farrell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Donald and Lloyd Seidle, and a sister, Loretta Speer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 17th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 16th and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Friday, May 17th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County or Englewood Baptist Church.
